How to Disable Trackbacks + Pings?

To disable trackbacks and pings on new WordPress posts go to Settings > Discussion.

Next, uncheck Attempt to notify any blogs linked to from the post and Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks) on new posts. Save these changes.

How to Disable Trackbacks + Pings on existing WordPress posts?

This is a little trickier. Select all of your blog posts. Choose Edit from the Bulk actions dropdown. Then, click the Apply button. Finally, update the Ping status to Do not allow.

You may have to repeat this process for all pages of your blog posts.
